In the diverse landscapes of America, from Minnesota's heartland to Chicago's bustling streets, Joseph A. Sackett's early years unfurled. But it was his two-decade-long journey in the military's special operations that profoundly shaped him. Within these years, he witnessed humanity's darker shades, glimpsing the fragility beneath society's facade, understanding how swiftly it could crumble to its knees.

Reading became Joseph's solace amidst this stark reality. The enchanting tales of C.S. Lewis ignited his love for literature, a flame that only grew brighter with time. As he delved deeper into the realm of stories, he found himself drawn to the thrilling narratives of Max Brooks, a maestro in the modern zombie genre, and the survival saga of "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy.

These books, with their exploration of human endurance in the face of calamity, resonated deeply with Joseph. He was captivated by tales of ordinary people transforming into heroes when faced with extraordinary circumstances - a reflection of the harsh realities he'd witnessed firsthand.

Joseph's writing is an extension of this fascination, a canvas where he paints the vulnerability and resilience of mankind. He draws from his experiences, crafting narratives that reveal society's weaknesses and the indomitable spirit that arises in response.

Now, as an author, Joseph invites you into his world. He beckons you to embark on a journey of discovery, where each page is a revelation, each story a testament to the human spirit's strength. Come, join him in this adventure. Welcome to the world of Joseph A. Sackett.

Ben lives in the Cincinnati, OH area with his family and dogs, where he is currently working on more stories which may or may not ever see the light of day. He does not enjoy writing about himself, especially in the third person like this.

James Kaine found his love of horror early on in life, both on the page and the screen. He always knew that one day he would make his own contributions to the genre which he has done with works such as "Pursuit" and "My Pet Werewolf." He looks forward to bringing readers more terrifying tales in the future.

When he’s not concocting horrible scenarios to write about, James spends his time with his wife and two children and his loyal Boston Terrier. He loves travelling, heavy music, and New York Giants football which can be terrifying in its own right.
